5+ years of development experience programming in C.
· 5+ years of experience using and programming in an Linux/Unix
development environment.
· 5+ years of experience in programming for computer networking.
You should have familiarity with all or most of networking concepts:
o Linux/Unix network stacks
o Routing and Bridging
o NAT,o TCP and UDP,o IPv6,o Ethernet, ARP
o DNS, DHCP, SIP, NTP and PPP
o IGMP, RTP and RTCP
· Experience working with the Linux kernel and Linux device
drivers.
· Comfort developing in a Linux environment using the shell,
editors, Make, compilers, linkers and other Linux tools.
· Comfort troubleshooting complex problems in a large source base
in a Linux and C based environment.
· Comfort designing features, discussing and defending your ideas
with other team members and presenting your proposals in a team environment.
· Experience with the following technologies would be a plus:
o Linux Firewall
o Linux QoS
o DSL
o Wi-Fi
o VoiP
o Video
o HPNA
