*Senior Quality Assurance Data Tester* NYC, NY 12 Months Must do onsite interview *JD:* The Quality Assurance data tester, under general supervision of the Data Readiness Team manager and adhering to procedures for quality assurance; test and analyze data and software components for consistency related to system conversion and data bridging to ensure usability and applicability to the business need. This role is to create, execute, monitor, and troubleshoot any problems associated with plans and test scripts related to the data migration and data bridging efforts. The QA Analyst will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills validate all data migration and data bridging processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in software development initiatives. The QA data test team member works as an integral member of the multi-disciplined project team providing specific expertise in quality assurance throughout the full development cycle of the software solution. *Primary Duties and Responsibilities:* This is a “hands-on” position with delivery responsibilities. Responsible for developing and executing test cases, test plans, test design and procedures for functional software testing and regression testing of new development and maintenance releases. Responsible for the development and execution of manual and automated test cases and scripts Responsible for testing the security compliance of the software application Create the testing artifacts in collaboration with the development staff to define the scope and effort of the required work to ensure quality and performance. Coordinate and perform in-depth tests for enhanced and new systems. Participate in planning and prioritization sessions as required. Maintain responsibility in the assigned modules for assuring that all products and associated documentation are defect free and compliant with technical specifications. Perform tracking and reporting of test results; Defect tracking and reporting for the modules assigned. Maintain testing environments and associated test data for the assigned modules; creation and maintenance of scripts/utilities for loading/reloading test databases. Provide periodic Status Reports as requested. Perform other duties that are assigned from time to time. *Requirements:* Experienced in working with QA tasks under various development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile. Experience with Microsoft Windows platforms; Solid experience in working with Microsoft SQL Server databases, SSIS, SSMS and Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) Solid experience with scripting languages like SQL scripting Knowledge of relational database design, programming and information retrieval techniques; Solid experience in writing simple SQL queries, insert/update statements Experience with Regression, Automation, Performance, Load and Stress Testing techniques. Through understanding of test automation and experience in both manual and automated test efforts. Broad-based knowledge of computer hardware, software, platforms, networks and operating systems Ability to collate and analyze defects, present the results using charts for root cause analysis and provide feedback to compare against defined parameters; Provide periodic Status Reports as requested. Maintain tracking status of open action and corrective items, receiving and reviewing responses and feedback and monitor the established timeframes for action items; QA experience in the Financial Services sector is a plus QA experience in the Pension Administration sector is a significant plus *Education/Qualifications:* Bachelors Degree in a Business, Engineering or QA discipline or equivalent; 8 Years of experience as QA analyst and/or Senior tester role preferred; Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project; Strong proficiency in data collection, analysis and presentation; Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company; Experience with large scale data conversion projects preferred. *Email is the best way to reach me.* ISO 9001:2008 Certified WMBE Firm 1441 E.
