*Job Title: *QA Engineer *Location: *Midtown, NY *Job Type:* Contract *Duration:* 6+ months Client : Viacom Rate : Open Interview : F2F *Responsibilities:* · Participate in Story writing. You will work in cross function team with Product, Development and UX team members to define stories and scenarios. · Expand scenarios into test cases. Once the story and scenarios has been defined, come up with test cases and document them. · Once story is ready to be tested, execute test cases and provide detailed and timely feedback. Detailed feedback should include steps to reproduce, environment details and some root cause analysis that helps developers resolve the issue in timely manner. · Perform various level of testing, including feature, integration, regression and load. · Automate potential test cases. You will identify test cases that are automatable and brings value, then automate them. Currently we don't test automation in place so you will also have to research and come up with solution on your own. · Read and understand code. At various stag of testing you will have to read and understand the production code, so that you can implement better automation, perform changed based focus regression. · Document test cases for already developed features. When you are testing a legacy feature that doesn't have scenarios and test cases defined, use your judgment and product owner's help in defining and documenting those cases. · Participate in various Scrum rituals and provide process improvement feedback. *Technical Skills:* · JavaScript, Node, Bash, HTTP, REST, AJAX, XML, JSON, PHP, MySQL · Linux, OS X, Windows, iOS, Android · Exposure to test automation tools such as NightWatch JS, WebdriverIO *General Skills:* · Detail oriented · Self starter · Team player · Problem solver · Fast learner *Good to have:* · Experience with CMS system like WordPress · Exposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD) / Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) · Experience testing Ads or Reporting *Education:* · Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering related field.
