*Title: Bigdata with Talend experience* *Contract: 7-8 months* *Location: Connecticut, Massachusetts and Minnesota* ***Please don’t send the profiles without Talend experience*** *Sr. Application Developer: * Our client is seeking a Big Data Developer with Java, and Talend and Unix skills. Hadoop is nice to have. The right individual for this role will be a motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work. *Responsibilities*: Ø Research, evaluate, identify alternative approaches to support development needs Ø Recommend, design and code efficient and effective solutions for challenging problems for medium to large work efforts of medium to high complexity Ø Comply with standards and guidelines related to the design, construction, testing, and deployment activities within the Delivery Management environments Ø Demonstrate collaborative skills working within a project team of diverse skills Ø Bring strong communication skills including oral, written and presentation skills plus creativity, and problem solving skills to a challenging environment Ø Provide guidance and direction to less-seasoned staff *Success Factors*: Ø Ability to deliver functionality in two or more programming languages within a single development environment Ø Ability to create high complexity detailed technical design specifications Ø Ability to act as project technical lead for high complexity projects Ø Ability to act as a lead developer responsible for the planning, completion and coordination of work activity for projects involving more than one developer Ø Ability to lead walk though of design documents and provide technical leadership over programming team Ø Strong analytical and technical aptitude Ø An understanding of a variety of modeling and/or diagramming techniques, with the ability to create process flow diagrams and the ability read data flow and entity relationship models Ø Effective communications with all levels of internal and external customers and staff, including issue resolution, negotiation of project related priorities, and completion dates *Requirements*: Ø Possessing 3+ years’ experience in the following three: o Unix o Java o Talend · Nice to have o Hadoop Will consider slightly less experience if candidate has additional years’ experience in other high-volume technologies Ø Evaluate and understand a variety of modeling and/or diagramming techniques, with the ability to create process flow diagrams and the ability read data flow and entity relationship models. Ø Develop code meeting 100 percent of technical specifications and business requirements according to the established designs. *Nice to have*: Ø Act as a Project Development Lead with one or more developers matrixed for the completion of the project Ø Healthcare domain background is a plus. Ø Clinical domain experience is a plus.
