THIS IS THE REAL DEAL ON WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE: The focus is for someone with enough Java experience to be able to develop automated tests and invocation of APIs to execute the logic in the tests. The focus should be on Java based automation testing using the Selenium framework and Cucumber / Behavioral Driven Requirements (aka Given, When Then). They are using Jenkins for automated execution of the associated automated Selenium based tests, and TFS for tracking of manual test cases and testing results. This more of a well-rounded data tester with the Selenium background. *Position Overview* Participate as a key team member of Actuarial Solutions IT department. Performs end to end data validation and testing automation of complex & high volume business process software solutions. Engages as a liaison between Development team, Business Analysts and Business Partners to comprehend and contribute to detailed business / system data processing test plans. Validation of system implementations against requirements through definition, execution, automation & tracking of detailed data testing strategies. *Responsibilities* Partner with Project Manager, Technical Team Lead, Business subject matter experts and 3rd party data providers to leverage / contribute / validate systems data processing requirements. Document & execute detailed data validation testing plans, test suites, test cases and test scripts enabling all levels of testing (unit, functional, integration, and regression). Design and implement automated test suite solutions to reduce manual testing overhead. Meet testing objectives in an agile software development program. Provide qualitative / quantitative analysis evidence to project stakeholders as part of data QA focus. Meet regularly with Project Manager and Technical Team Leads during project execution to evaluate project data testing status, milestones, risks, issues. *Requirements* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 5-7 years of experience in high volume / high complexity data systems analysis and validation including creation of custom SQL queries to perform data validation & gap analysis. 5+ years of designing and building reusable testing automation Experience with statistical and/or financial analysis to independently validate algorithms. Ability to translate business needs & requirements into holistic testing strategy. Proficient analytical / problem-solving skills with ability to draw conclusions. Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to make recommendations.
