*Skill Set* Sr. DW/BI Architect Experience in Information delivery and ETL *Work Location* Hartford, CT (USA) *Special Instructions* NA *Job Description* In the role of Application Architect, you will perform the following functions · At least 10 years of experience with DWBI and related tools · Architecture experience required should be heavily based in DATA WAREHOUSE and BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE implementations. Demonstrated architecture experience with NoSQL including familiarity with Hadoop and Big Data architecture · Experience with LARGE DATABASES is a plus. Knowledge of UML or similar modeling language is required. · Candidate must have proven experience in the architecture beyond lead design duties with thorough understanding of application architectural componentization. · Candidate must demonstrate a deep knowledge of architecture principles and describe the employment of those on several projects. · A clear and complete understanding of the difference and delineation between architecture and high level design is required. · Understanding of INFORMATION DELIVERY and ETL applications and tools is preferred. Proven project experience and ability to lead a group through an architectural development process and collaborate with application development teams, architects, Business and other project constituents. Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to functional requirements and to determine the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition. · Strong business and technology decision making skills are required. Candidate must have prior experience in a technical leadership role. · Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and strong leadership skills to effectively influence decisions and positively impact progress are required Location for this position is Hartford, CT *Qualifications Basic* • Education and Certification Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider three years of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education • At least of 10 years of experience in application architecture methodologies. • Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design and programming techniques. • Familiarity with business intelligence, data warehousing design techniques, and dimensional modeling • Experience working with large and complex database systems and demonstrated knowledge of data integration, mapping and conformance conceptually. • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as strong collaboration/influencing ability. • Knowledge of Healthcare, Insurance, and/or Financial services industry. *Preferred* • Healthcare or Insurance/Financial services industry knowledge is preferred, but not required.
