*Position:: MicroStrategy Architect*

*Location:: Mclean, VA*

*Duration:: 6+ months*



*Key Responsibilities:-*



·         The Microstrategy Architect is an expert with the MicroStrategy
software stack including development and MicroStrategy architecture and
possesses architectural knowledge in addition to data analytics experience
in order to be able to add value to projects and understand the complexity
of the MicroStrategy environment.

·         Additional responsibilities include creating and managing the
non-prod and prod environments, creating and deploying reports, writing
complex database queries, consulting with clients on business needs,
translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, and
interfacing with company and client to ensure successful delivery of
reporting platform.

·         Architecting MicroStrategy projects from end to end, including
creating project source/projects, importing tables, creating logical
tables, facts, metrics, attributes, transformations, partitions etc.

·         Hands-on experience with installing, configuring and monitoring
MicroStrategy environment. Ability to handle End to End MicroStrategy
architecture internals (including setup, administer, develop and support

·         Ability and desire to investigate the newest MicroStrategy
functionality and teach/explain to others; considered to be an innovative
thinker.

·         BI application administrator.

·         Acting as MicroStrategy expert to advice customers in defining
MicroStrategy Roadmap, Security guidelines and MicroStrategy architecture
for Complex enterprise systems.

·         Work with internal clients to develop and document analysis plans
and related data requirements.

·         Ability to review business requirements and develop a solution
leveraging the newest MicroStrategy functionality.

·         Interact with business, ETL, and data architect teams to build
models suitable for MicroStrategy

·         Design Schema required for supporting reporting requirements
given by clients.

·         Suggest changes to existing data model for supporting reporting
requirements.

·         Design and implement changes to schema of an existing
MicroStrategy project for supporting new reporting requirements without
affecting any of the existing reports

·         Predicts emerging customer needs and develops innovative
solutions to meet them

·         Work in collaborative environment utilizing multiple project
management methodologies.

·         Make recommendations for new data sources, tools, and analysis
that will be needed to proactively answer questions from development team.

·         Design high quality solutions to meet the functional requirements.

·         Involvement with object development, including metrics,
attributes, templates and filters Review and provide enhancements to
logical and physical database designs as well as optimization for proper
use with a BI Platform.

·         Incorporate best practices and standards in metadata and
report/dashboard development.

·         Coordination of test planning and execution

·         Solution deployment and transition to support

·         Support training and documentation

·         Partner with the Business Process Owners and Business Leadership
on the design, build and execution during the Rollout

·         Partner with the offshore delivery lead and ensure operational
efficiency in delivery, cost and schedules through an appropriate mix of
resources, proper work package allocation to ensure maximum efficiency.



*Mandatory skills:-*



·         Deep understanding of data analysis techniques.

·         Deep Understanding of DWH and DWH Methodologies.

·         Excellent knowledge of MicroStrategy administration.

·         Excellent Knowledge of relational database concepts and database
management systems.

·         Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.

·         Knowledge of Entertainment industry business practices a plus.

·         Advanced skills in MicroStrategy toolset.

·         Advanced skills in SQL, stored procedures, triggers and views.

·         Good Blue printing experience and Implementation experience

·         Good working knowledge of business data mapping and validation,
testing from a functional and business area perspective

·         Ability to facilitate workshops and to identify business
requirements

·         Co-ordinate with SME for Solution and cutover activity

·         Ability to manage and deliver multiple priorities in a
constrained timeline

·         Strong problem solver with the ability to analyze cause and
effect relationships

·         Work with developers( TCS and customer) to finalize the solution

·         Proactively propose alternate solutions to the customer as and
when needed

·         Ability / attitude to take up cross module issues like WM and QM
, MM

·         Showcase ownership to resolve / coordinate issues within
allocated time span

·         Excellent Oral and written communication skills

·         CAN DO attitude



*Nice to Haves:-*



·         Strong Datawarehouse and Business Analyst experience

·         Certification as MCD (MicroStrategy Certified Developer) or MCE
(MicroStrategy Certified Engineer) or related experience

·         Solid understanding of relational structures, dimensional data
modelling, Datawarehouse and BI techniques

·         Lead development of modern Relational and NOSQL/Big Data Business
Intelligence solutions.
