Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 12+ months Summary: *1. Strong knowledge
and Excellent Troubleshooting Skills on WAS/J2EE/ MQ middleware technologies
2. Experience on maintaining and functioning of middleware systems (e.g.,
monitoring and alerting, event management, load balancing, performance
tuning, availability, startup, shutdown, purge and recover queues as
necessary, capacity and configuration management, etc.) including
collecting and analyzing performance and utilization data and tune the
middleware to maintain efficiency.
3. Good in providing performance utilization trend and forecasting along
with proactive measures, support software lifecycle management upgrades,
patches and evolution.
4. Install, test and certify operating system service packs, hot fixes,
patches and/or upgrades on Middleware systems
5. Expertise on IBM WAS and Java professional
6. Install, configure, maintain, support, and administer all Software
deemed as Middleware, including: MQ Series, transport layer (i.e., the
service bus) and queue managers etc
7. Experience on designing and implementing efficient queue manager
Configurations that provide restart capabilities, guaranteed message
delivery, and high availability failover support and maintain valid DR plan
and regularly test all Middleware processes according to Standards.
8. Providing technical support to Business Application teams on middleware
software related issues and where possible, assist Application developers
in analyzing Application design and design changes and assessing their
impact on the middleware software
9. Providing input to hardware and Software architects and participate in
hardware Changes that affect the Middleware Software Systems and maintain
valid DR plan and regularly test all Middleware processes according to
Standards. 10. Flexibility to work in shifts for 24x7 support
11. Experience on Web/Java Application server Middleware Support;
throughput for performance and resource Availability Threshold breaches and
take appropriate action; Application transactions, including transaction
throughput and Application response times using automated procedures
12. Install, modify (configure), maintain, support, and administer all
Software deemed as Web Application Server Middleware Software, including:
WebSphere, Tomcat, IIS, Apache, Weblogic, Java WebServer, JBoss, etc
13. Providing intelligent load balancing support that includes
installation, configuration, monitoring, administration, troubleshooting,
release management, and security update Services for Internet and
Application load balancing in a highly available configuration
14. Supporting Security Middleware Administration requirements, IBM Tivoli
Access Manager/IBM Security Access Manager, IBM Tivoli Identity Manager,
IBM Identity Manager, IBM Security Directory Server, and Oracle LDAP
15. Knowledge on FileNet Content Manager Suite, FileNet Image Services
Suite, Adobe LiveCycle/ES4, RightFax 9.3/9.4 FOIP, Captiva Suite towards
ECM (Enterprise Content Management)
16. Knowledge on BI products of ETL (Informatica), Data Mining (SAS) and
Data Quality (Change Data Capture) systems, the enterprise reporting system
(Business Objects - SAP)
17. Knowledge on SCM (Source Code Management) products: Serena Version
Manager, Catalyst OpenMake, Hudson, IBM BuildForge, Jenkins, Maven,
Subversion
18. Supporting pre-production and production Application release
deployments and providing the infrastructure tools necessary to support the
Third Party Contractor technical team during production release deployment,
automation and optimization
19. Co-ordination with multiple stake holders / Third party Vendors for
break-fix.
20. Responsible for identification and mitigation of risks and
vulnerabilities
21. Prepare disaster recovery (DR) plan and demonstrate successful
functioning of DR
22. Excellent listening skills & ability to communicate clearly and
fluently in English

*Must be able to*
• Lead the participate in outage calls
• Create the Standard Operating Procedure and update the knowledge database
documentation whenever required
• Participate in daily/ weekly/ monthly/ customer / internal meetings and
provide activities report.
• Keep the Inventory up to date for global locations
• Work with offshore team and ensure deliverables are delivered on time
