Job Title: Systems Administrator III Location: San Jose, CA *Duration: 6 +months* *Interview: F2F* *Primary Job Responsibilities* The eBay Managed Operations team is searching for a Systems Administrator Level II with exceptional Linux and Load Balancers experience. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional Production engineering teams to provision and support computes and Load-Balancers in a large scale 24x7 enterprise environment. Responsibilities Include: -Interface with internal services using existing tools/scripts to provision and configure compute for production traffic. -Understand the eBay environment, and from there think critically to handle provisioning and decommission processes in a fast-paced server environment, contribute constructive solutions problems. -Remove and/or add servers from load balancers, update DNS and work with Product Development team for various functional testing -Be able to follow established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for various tasks. -Interact with various cross functional teams on daily basic Desired Skills & Experience BS/BA in CS or related field and minimum 3 years of experience working in large scale Tech Industry Familiarity with Linux system administrative tasks. Familiarity with a variety of enterprise systems including Servers, Load Balancers (BigIP and Netscaler), and hypervisors. Experience with Linux command line, Powershell, REST API and Python are a plus. Knowledgeable of how DNS works and comfortable with making changes to zones. Excellent attention to detail, documentation and communication skills. Ability to think critically, and handle tasks with urgency. Be able to meet deadlines in fast pace environment.
