Interview is MUST either in Arizona or Rhode Island. Responsibilities: *The
Oracle Database Administrator is a highly skilled technical position that
involves intricate knowledge of the Oracle database internals. May also
requires on call responsibilities.
Database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem
diagnosis and resolution are all critical functions that the database
administrator performs.
1. Manage all aspects of the physical database including schema’s, DDL,
users, security, etc. in development, UAT and production environments
2. Identify and resolve problems occurring in all database environments
including performance related issues (i.e. database & SQL tuning).
3. Perform database software installs, configurations, patches, and
upgrades.
4. Support DBA utilities, reorgs, index builds, etc. and DBA tools, Oracle
Enterprise Manager, etc.


*Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills: *8+ years of hands-on experience
as an Oracle Database Administrator. Working directly with Oracle 10g, 11g
and 12c.
Database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem
diagnosis and resolution are all critical functions that the database
administrator performs.
Install configure and troubleshoot Oracle and Grid Infrastructure on multi
node RAC cluster with 11GR2 (11.2.0.4)
Rolling upgrade of Oracle and Grid Infrastructure on multi node RAC cluster
with 11gR2 – Precisely from 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4
Strong hands-on experience in managing RAC/RAC1 databases.
Need to apply the latest patch in a rolling fashion for both the
Clusterware home and Database home to confirm compliance to various
versions of oracle databases.
Install configure and troubleshoot 12c OEM.
Expertise on SQL Plan Management (SPM) and DB profiles.
Monitor database performance, diagnose performance problems, and tune the
database as necessary. Investigate, gather diagnostic data for, and report
to Oracle Support Services any critical database errors.
Configure and manage memory allocation and adjust as needed. Calculate
optimum values for database parameters such as amount of computer memory to
be used by database.
Troubleshoot and monitor database integrity and performance using EM12c.
Hands-on experience with of Oracle Data Guard replication setup,
maintenance and troubleshooting for high Availability.
Manage all aspects of the physical database including schema’s, DDL, users,
security, etc. in development, UAT and production environments
Support DBA utilities, reorgs, index builds, etc. and DBA tools, Oracle
Enterprise Manager, etc.
Uni-directional and Bi-directional replication with Oracle Golden Gate is a
plus
Migrate a Non -RAC database to RAC with RMAN and Logical backup.
Proven ability in UNIX shell scripting, PL/SQL coding and Perl.
Experience in Disaster Recovery activities
Coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce
defined security policies
Experience with IBM AIX, Linux, SUN Solaris UNIX operating systems.
Experience with Oracle Streams implementation and troubleshooting
Manage all aspects of physical database administration including schema
management (DDL), security setup and enforcement, ID creation,
installations, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting and instance tuning.
Support several application and support teams with numerous on-going
projects
Maintain over 200+ Oracle production databases along with their
corresponding development and test databases.
Be part of a large DBA team establishing database standards, monitors and
automating support solutions
Manage regularly scheduled backups using Oracle’s RMAN and occasionally a
database recovery
