This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, solid communication skills and the ability to work well in a dynamic group environment and with external vendors. · Lead network design development and integration testing and support deployment of new platforms, features and code. Provide direction to ensure proper functionality, redundancy, scalability and manageability of the existing and the next generation network. · Participate in development of technical requirements and specifications for complex VOIP network elements and systems. Includes development technical and product descriptions, RFIs/RFPs, and engineering standards as well as evaluation of vendors and vendor selection recommendations. · Lead test plan development, testing and test result analysis. Includes reviewing/recommending test equipment and development of consistent testing methodologies through automation, where possible. · Provide Tier IV support as needed to augment the Operations team. This includes providing guidance to vendor support and problem replication within a lab environment. · Provide training and knowledge sharing with other VoIP engineers. Ensure proper documentation and turn-over to various support organizations for new platforms, solutions, products and features. · Maintain expertise and ensure ongoing knowledge of new technologies and product features; providing direction for the VOIP network on technical and financial evaluations of strategies and designs. *Job Requirements:* · 7+ years of VOIP network design and integration experience · Strong background in integration and testing of Voice and Data on IP networks · Ability to design and develop test scripts in EAST, GL-Comm, QualiSystems TestShell, IXLoad and Perl scripting language. · Ability to work on Windows-7, windows-8, Unix and Linux Operating System. Must also have experience clear understanding of IMS, RTP, MGCP, SS7, ISUP, HTTPS, XML protocol message and parameter. · Strong background in VOIP testing; including CPE testing and qualification of gateways, use of common test tools, MOS and waveform analysis and interoperability testing. · Knowledge of relevant VoIP industry standards i.e. IETF, CableLabs and 3GPP · Proven track record as an Engineer displaying strong teamwork, strong written and verbal communications and customer-oriented skills. *Preferred Qualifications:* · Knowledge of VoIP Automation test tools, PacketCable VoIP and 3GPP IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) networks is highly desirable. · Experience in developing test cases using EXFO EAST Test Simulator, GL-Comm Test Simulator, QualiSystems Automation Tool and IXLoad Test Simulator. · Experience in Residential and Commercial VOIP features. Expect to be able to write Test Plan and Test Procedure. · Analyzing and trouble-shooting using Wireshark, Hammer-XMS network tools. · Hands-on Testing experience in telecommunication protocols including SIP, IMS, Diameter, RTP, ENUM, SS7 ISUP, ISDN, MGCP, HTTPS, XML, SOAP etc. · Hands-on experience in Network routers and devices (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Oracle SBC) and VOIP carrier grade platforms (e.g. Cisco/Nokia Call Agent, Alcatel Lucent Voice Application Servers in IMS environment) · Preferred software development experience in JAVA, C++, PERL, TCL, Python programming languages.
