according to the fellows' convenience.

The Centre for Advanced Studies "Justitia Amplificata: Rethinking
Justice _ Appplied and Global", funded by the German Research Council
(Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) and located at the University
of Frankfurt with a branch at the Free University of Berlin is
seeking to appoint up to four post-doctoral fellows in political
theory/political philosophy for the academic year 2016/2017. The
Fellows will be hosted by Frankfurt University at its Institute for
Advanced Studies in Bad Homburg (near Frankfurt) and will be part of
the Frankfurt academic community. They are invited to spend a certain
period of time at the Free University Berlin for a research stay,
details to be arranged.

Applicants are required to have completed all their PhD requirements
(including exams) by the beginning of their fellowship and should
have proven potential to conduct and publish research at an
international level. Candidates' research should fall within the
Centre's areas of focus, namely global justice and applied theories
of justice.

CV, writing sample of preferably not more than 7,000 words [can be an
excerpt], and two letters of reference (no more than two) to the
Directors of the Centre, Stefan Gosepath and Rainer Forst. The two

Justitia Amplificata Post-doc Fellowships: Conditions of Award

We offer a non-taxable grant of 2300€/month.

Additional benefits include a return trip to Frankfurt; a household
allowance of 300€/month for accompanying partners (if the partner’s
income is not higher than 1,250€/month) and a dependents’ allowance
of 300€/month for each dependent child. Health insurance and
accommodation expenses are not included in the package, although
assistance in purchasing a suitable German health insurance will be
provided.

Fellows will be provided with office space at the University’s
Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at Bad Homburg
(Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften). Fellows who wish to live at
the Institute will be offered the opportunity to rent one of the
Institute’s flats (for more information, see: Forschungskolleg
Humanwissenschaften).

Fellows will be expected to take an active part in the Centre’s
activities and workshops, and to present their ongoing research to
the members of the Centre in its research seminar. If budget and time
allow it, fellows might have the opportunity to actively cooperate in
some of the Centre’s research activities, including the organization
of workshops and conferences.
