Call for Publications Theme: Contemporary Studies Publication: Inclusive: International Journal of the Kolkata Centre for Contemporary Studies Date: Issue 10 (December 2017) Deadline: 20.11.2017 __________________________________________________ Inclusive, a bi-annual online journal, is soliciting original research-based articles for its December 2017 issue. The Kolkata Centre for Contemporary Studies (KCCS) has been established by a group of academics in 2011 who aspires to leave a mark in the field of contemporary studies on various social, economic and political issues. It is dedicated to develop human potentialities and expand social opportunities through advocacy, debate, discussion and workshop by involving all common intelligent people. The Centre stands for research and inter-disciplinary thinking and studies on gender, minority, religion, multiculturalism, marginality, displacement, poverty, peace, human rights, citizenship, communication, sustainable development and all issues of international concern in the backdrop of the interface between India and the changing global scene. It aspires to become a comprehensive Resource Centre. It also aims to reach out to global parameters by local efforts through collaborative research and interactive programmes. It is committed to bring out books, reports, useful pamphlets, brochures, special souvenirs and other publications through print, audio-visual and online media from time to time based on outcomes and findings of the researches done under the guidance of the Centre. The Centre publishes its e-Journal Inclusive biannually (ISSN 2278-9758; UGC (India) indexed Journal, Journal no. 45538). Topics might include, but not necessarily confined to: - Religious, cultural and racial sectarianism and the challenges to inclusive world order - Terrorism, global crisis and inter-cultural dialogue - Regimes of nuclearpower and comprehensive policy of disarmament - Post-nationalist thought and envisioning global society - Peace building in South Asia, role of the SAARC and trajectory of Indo-China Relationship - Vulnerable communities and shaping of inclusive citizenship in India - Menace of religious fanaticism and hate politics in India - Caste and religion-based reservation: state-policy and inclusion in India - Religion and vulnerability of women in India: state, gender justice and inclusion - Muslim women and citizenship rights in India - Economic development and inclusion of the vulnerable populations in India - Plight of the farmers and responsibility of the state in India - Poverty, unemployment and migration of human capital and labour in India For style sheet, please consult: http://theinclusive.org/cfp.html Last date of submission: 20 November 2017.
