Recognizing that climate change is a defining issue of our time, the
International Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (a
division of the Zoryan Institute), is pleased to announce its
upcoming webinar series titled "Climate Change, Human Rights, and
Genocide."

The series will include five presentations by experts in their
fields, and will be taking place between February 15th and March 23,
2022.

Tuesday, February 15th, 2022, 3PM EST:
Climate Change, Conflict and Displacement: The Role of Human Rights
Presenter: Sumudu Atapattu, Teaching Professor and Director of
Research Centers, University of Wisconsin Law School; Lead Counsel
for Human Rights at the Center for International Sustainable

"Maples Are People": An Indigenous Critique of Ecocide, Genocide, and
the Human/Nature Dualism
Presenter: Lauren Eichler, Lecturer, Department of Philosophy and
