The Seattle show was great! The crowd was enthusiastic in their cheering and requesting of songs, but they were really, really stiff! I mean, not even the "shoegazer" sway. I didn't snag a setlist, but they played a nice, long show, with two encores of three songs each. I'm terrible with remembering song names, but they played Paris & Rome, Future Song, Adrift, Lilies, Shining Road and quite a few others.
I somehow missed the '97 show, but it was completely different than the last time I saw them (opening for the Cure, at the Mercer Arena). That arena show was a lot more atmospheric and flowing, while this show was more energetic and raw. Needless to say, it was also much more intimate. Sorry that you missed it. --Merritt At 08:04 PM 5/13/2002, you wrote: >did anyone happen to catch the Seattle show? i wasn't aware that tix were >being sold at the box-office in advance, so i shattered to discover the "SOLD >OUT" sign in the window, many hours in advance, even while people were >unloading stuff from vans. if you were one of the fortunate few to get in, >what's the verdict? > >(also, how did it compare to the Faith and Disease/Rasputina/Cranes show back >in 97ish, for "Pop.
