i was very upset that i wasn't able to make it to the acoustic show in
los angeles on wednesday, i just couldn't get away from my school work.
but i was able to make it to the concert on thursday in los angeles and
that was great. i don't know if it was a good concert for them or not,
because i've never been to a cranes concert before, but i was in awe from
the moment they came on stage. it seemed that each song they played was
better than the last, keeping me enthralled, until they peaked at
adoration, which was impossibly more beautiful than the original on their
album. they came back out and played 2 encores, including my favorite
cranes song ever, far away. i hopelessly screamed for them to play
starblood, but it wasn't on the setlist so i didn't have a chance. here
is the setlist as i have it. anybody is welcome to contest my version of
the setlist for the los angeles show:

Cloudless
Fragile
Sunrise
To Be
Rainbows
Sun and Sky
Shining Road
Future Song
Don't Wake Me Up
Pale Blue Sky
Lilies
Adoration

(Encore #1)
Submarine
Jewel
Far Away
Adrift

(Encore #2)
Driving in the Sun
Paris and Rome

after the set was over, our entourage hoped to meet the band and get our
memorabilia signed, but the bouncers kicked us all out of the theater.
then we waited outside on the sidewalk holding on to hope against hope
that we would get to see the band, but then the bouncers came out of the
theater and told us that we couldn't even stay on the sidewalk. So
although the night was largely satisfying to me, i was a little
disappointed that it wasn't a completely perfect night of getting to meet
the band. Nevertheless, it was absolutely amazing to get to see Jim and
Alison up close while they were on stage, being as the venue was small
enough to easily secure a spot right up against the stage.
