Thanks for the test!
There's no configuration wipe in app mode. Are you sure you went through
the correct procedure? Did you get the fast blinking light when powering
the IOIO *without* a USB connection after the wipe?
Sorry to nag, but it would be really cool if we could undoubtedly eliminate
this as a possible cause.
