Firefox gives me the fewest problems when I constrain it to run in a single window. Open about:config in the location bar and change browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs to true, then Edit->Preferences->Advanced and change all the "Tabbed Browsing" settings to use tabs rather than windows. Paul
