I noted the following behaviour in the above version (under MacOS X 10.4.7):
splitting the single empty frame of a new workspace into a
2 x 2 array (via mod1+S, mod1+K+S)
without any resizing of the newly created frames does not align the
title bars of the 'lower two' frames properly, i.e. in the layout

|1 | 2|
|-----|
|3 | 4|
|-----|
the title bar of no. 3 is a bit higher (about half its height) than no. 4.
is the status bar (residing in no. 3) the reason? I don't think this
misalignment is intentional, although the 'usuable' vertical space in
no. 3 is smaller because of the statusbar?
