Sorry for useless spamming the list. But for me xrandr just sucks, but
it is useful. WIMP sucks more, thus I use ION and *nix. If there will
be ion-like (pseudo)windowmanager for windows, I will use windows more.
And using more than one screen is very convenient for my work. Most of
the time I use laptop screen in vertical position to show compiled tex
page and desktop lcd to show editor of tex source and sources of my
work.

Sometimes I use Xrandr to set up beamer, so that I can present my
slides with notes for the speaker on screen of the laptop. And when
administrating a cluster of servers I use cssh, to do same things on all
servers at once. Then I'm glad for any space for my terminals. There is
currently no option to multiple screens than xrandr today.
