New to Ion and this mail-list. Never heard of Ion until yesterday. Today I'm sold on it (have been using fvwm in a similar setup since 96). It took me about 10 minutes to get started. Can't beat that feeling. Promise :-)
Anyway - I used to have ssh with command completion back at the university years ago, and when I saw query-ssh I just had to get it working. I don't now much about c or c++ but somehow (by looking at the source for the query module) I finaly got it working with the latest and greatest devel "release". It has taken me aprox 2 hourse digging through the Ion source to be able to write this. Should give people an idea of how easy it really is to write simple plugins like this.
Just in case the original author wants to have my "patch" I figured I'd drop a line and let him/her know that it exists. That is, if it isn't allready patched. So, drop me a line and I'll send the source.
Btw - query-ssh should really go into the wiki in complete source, perhaps even into the ioncore? It's so basic that it works perfect as a kick-starter for how to write simple plugins to Ion... just a thought.
