Well, I admit - there's no documentation available right now.
I'm feeling increasing need for it, though, and it's been for a while in my
todo list. Sorry for the gross inconvenience.
I've bound XDialog launch to Alt-F2, which gives simple window and query
chain.
To just launch an xterm, try to insert
{"Mod1+F3", EmptyMap, Exec, "xterm" },
into NormalBindings in user.lua
