Hi!

I was just wondering: ion is now extensible (thanks for this
marvellous WM) via lua: that is: you can write lua code INSIDE your
configuration files to configure ion more properly: the question
is: is there any way to source lua code (something as: tell me how
many workspaces there are, switch to ws number 3, etc) to a running
ion?? will there be something like an "ion-client" executable to
        source lua code to ion?

Before you elucubrate too much, i was trying to get ion work with
        3ddesktop (http://desk3d.sourceforge.net) by patching it
(3ddesktop, it already has patches to work on most mainstream wms)
and the question arose as i saw how it was done to get it work with
        a standalone sawmill (via "sawmill-client").

Thank you again for all your work.

PS: if there's no way to source lua code (or at least not an easy
way) to ion... is there any way to get number of WSs, change
current WS, and get current ws number via xatoms? most of desktop
enviroments which work with 3ddesktop work that way but I've seen
nothing but _ION_WORKSPACE with the name (not the number) of
current WS. With those 3 things 3ddesk would work perfectly.
