It would be yet another horrendous^n, n \to \infty kludge that would mirror the root window background at some sampled moment. For decent implementation of translucency the FDO (or other similar) extensions are needed. The "heading" of a frame called either tab bar or (more conventionally) title bar. -- Tuomo
