I'm in the same situation here, and my feeble attempts to modify x2x's code to support keyboard switching didn't work. So I'm stuck using x2x and smacking the mouse back and forth to switch screens. BTW, there is a similar x2x program called synergy that is much more up to date than x2x and also more powerful, but alas, it too doesn't support keyboard switching.
