The new code committed to the Subversion repository may be particularly
unstable as I'm coding "blind" at the moment. I have no easy way to
test my changes other than that they compile. My almost 10-year-old CRT
finally died a week ago after having been lamenting since december, and
I'm currently down to using and old 486 laptop as a serial terminal
(and I can't stand to watch static picture on tv-out).

I ordered a new TFT last weekend, and I should've got it on tuesday as the
shop had it in stock and things have worked fast as promised previously...
but they still haven't sent it! (I'd cancel the order and take my money
elsewhere, but the alternatives only have ugly "multimedia" and "silvery"
monitors in stock and it could take indefinitely to get something not in
stock.) Even if they would happen send the monitor tomorrow, thanks to the
postal service not working on weekends, I won't have it before monday, and
I'm not going to wait anymore with coding and committing new code.
