No flames here but two suggestions for improvement: 1. Could you create the patch with `svn diff -x -w` or, if you are tracking the Subversion repository with git, `git format-patch -w`? The whitespace changes detract from the actual changes, making it harder to follow what is actually being patched and likely decreasing the changes of your patch being accepted. 2.
