I'm trying to run Rocket Arena 3 1.80 with ioquake. The mod is shipped with a ioq3 1.35 based windows binary.
When connecting to a server, even localhost, I always have the same error (this was originally reported by a user of the FreeBSD port): Loading vm file vm/cgame.qvm... File "vm/cgame.qvm" found in "/usr/local/share/quake3/arena/vm.pk3" ...which has vmMagic VM_MAGIC_VER2 Loading 0 jump table targets VM file cgame compiled to 1134660 bytes of code cgame loaded in 5241056 bytes on the hunk ------- RA3 Client Game Initialization ------- ******************** ERROR: Client/Server game mismatch: RA3180/ ******************** ----- Server Shutdown (Server crashed: Client/Server game mismatch: RA3180/) ----- ==== ShutdownGame ==== ... It appears the server isn't reporting the game/version in the client game statistics structure (cgs). I suspect it's a problem with the vm code. I only tested this on FreeBSD/amd64. -- A: Because it fouls the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail? _______________________________________________ ioquake3 mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ioquake.org/listinfo.cgi/ioquake3-ioquake.org By sending this message I agree to love ioquake3 and libsdl.
