Hi Doil,
Thanks for the update, I think I should use 0.9.1 version at this time. Will
the Android support back at 0.9.2?
By the way, I am also curious about why the resource to be hosted must be with
fixed resource type "Resource.Hosting" if we used Resource Hosting API, I think
this design is not flexible. Suppose that if I have lots of devices/resources
to be hosted, all of them must have the same resource type, then we cannot
distinguish different kinds of resources by recognizing their resource type,
right?
Thanks!

hi Mr.Hung.

i missed important point.

latest version's 'resource hosting' is developed using 'resource-manipulation'
API.

so resource hosting for android is not supported yet.

when is prepared for using NM for android,

i will announced all.

Thanks for regards.

hi Mr.Hung ,

i am doil kwon who is developer about Notification Manager sample for Android.

1st, if you want to generate 'libNotificationManager.so ' file,

remove annotation about below.(this is included in
'iotivity/service/SConscript')

# SConscript('notification-manager/SampleApp/arduino/SConscript')

2nd , there are some difference about how to use NM Sample App for Android when
compared pre-version.

[previous]
notification-manager/NotificationManager/src/*_JNI.cpp
notification-manager/SampleApp/android/ResourceHostingSampleApp/jni

[latest]
notification-manager/NotificationManager/android/resource_hosting/jni
notification-manager/SampleApp/android/SampleResourceHosting/

this is pushed and merged in 'master' branch.

[how to use]

1. execute "ndk-build" in
notification-manager/NotificationManager/android/resource_hosting/jni
2. generate 'jar' file about NotificationManager/android
3. SampleResourceHosting is using 'jar' file that is generated on "pre-step".
4. SampleResourceHosting need to have classes.jar and resourceHosting.jar and
armeabi folder that is including "so" files.

if you have any questions,

plz send me a mail for me.

Thanks for regards.

Title : [dev] Current status of Notification Manager for Android

Hi All,

I am trying to build and run the Notification Manager sample for Android, but I
found that if I build from the latest commit on GitHub, the
libNotificationManager.so is missing so that I cannot succeed to build the
Resource Hosting project.

I finally realized there are some changes in the SConscript (ref:
https://github.com/iotivity/iotivity/blob/c620cdfed625498eb6df0833850103d3eaad46c6/service/SConscript),
the Android platform is now excluded, so the library is not compiled. How is
the current status of Notification Manager and other services for Android
platform? Is this change temporary due to Resource Manipulation code merge?

And another question is about the usage of Resource Hosting, is the resource
type supposed to be "Resource.Hosting" all the time if we want to host the
resources?

Thanks.
