Uze, In general, I like the idea. However, I think that we may want to address one of the needs a different way.
I like the simulator and the ability to bring *fake* devices by profile is an excellent idea. Regarding packet analysis though, I would rather someone write a plugin to wireshark instead of tying it to the simulator. This would allow it to be used for diagnostics either with or without the simulator.
