It's definitely wrong, as "will be " and then "1.0.0" don't work together.

Since the announcement was already published by the time I woke up yesterday, 
I did not edit, review or proof-read it. I assumed someone already had done 
that.

Whoever was responsible for publishing the announcement, please URGENTLY do 
your proof-reading. NOW, please.
