Hi Gregg,

There is at times a larger set of people here (currently looks light) in an IRC
chat:

   http://webchat.freenode.net/

   Choose your own Nickname.
   Use ?#iotivity? as channel.

If you?re familiar with IRC, you can go ahead use your own client.

To respond to your email more correctly: I work for Intel. I primarily use
IoTivity in projects these days. However, in IoTivity?s infancy I helped bring
up the C SDK. Now I follow this dev list looking for questions which I may help
to answer.

Good luck!

Thanks,

Joey

Subject: [dev] prospects for iotivity

Hi list,

please forgive me for pointing out that there ain't much going on here on the
iotivity dev list. I happen to think its a very promising bit of tech, and
it's early days, so maybe no big deal.

clearly at least some of the devs here are getting paid to develop iotivity.
that's great and I hope it continues. but I wonder if anybody other than me
outside of that magic circle is interested. Howsabout a show of hands: if you
are NOT getting paid to do iotivity stuff, please post a note and let us know
what's up. If you ARE getting paid to shovel, but not by one of the Big
Cheeses driving the thing, same goes, but let us know.

Dogfood: I'm a finalist in Intel's Ultimate Coder Challenge for IoT. I don't
recall the link, just look for #UltimateCoder on Twitter. My company is
kicking in some funds to do this, so I guess I count as somebody kinda sorta
paid to work with Iotivity, but as a user rather than a core dev.

Finally: why on earth is there no user list? I have lots of questions that
are really about how to use the thing, which are not the sort of questions
hardcore devs should have to spend time on.

Cheers,

Gregg
