The current and proposed designs are flawed. We need to bring the "rep" entry back. There's simply no other way, we cannot have "if", "href" and "rt" inside the same map/object that the resource's properties are. If we did that, then we would be unable to add new entries of our own in the Core spec. For example, if we wanted to add a new field called "rn", we'd have to be *absolutely* sure that there are no resources using "rn" as a property.
