Hi Neil,

Currently, there is no API to get the Client IP:port information in
IoTivity even though CoAP header has that information.
If you request observe you can get the Client address but, this is work-
around way.

Only possible solution looks that client send it?s IP address in POST call.

Anyway, I understand the your use case of client IP acquisition and request
to add this kind of API in Iotivity sooner.

Hi Uze,

We want to know the IP of the client that requested the resource (the
client making the POST/GET call).

Specifically for our use case, we want to receive a POST call on the server
and then send a picture back to the client through the IP.

Thank you,

Neil.

Hi Neil.

Specifically which information do you want to get?

Usually, there are some common resource in server such as /oic/d, /oic/p
resource holding the device type, server policy and so on information.

You can get it thru GET request over there.

Hi All,

Is there a way to get the host information from the ocResourceRequest.

We want to know the client who made the POST request to the server.

The API documentation does not provide any information concerning who made
the request call.

Thanks,

Neil.
