Subject: Re: RE: [dev] Request for ios-port branch

Hi Daniel,

Currently we are going through the windows-port branch and plan to reuse
anything in-common.

However, our approach for ios-port is more like wrapping rather then porting.

We are using the CSDK with minimal changes and adding a wrapper layer on top of
it to introduce the OBJ-C API.

We do not need to port Threading, CoAP & other libraries since they can be used
as it is for iOS.

In the connectivity layer, we are adding platform specific adapters.

I think, this approach is more similar to Android where they use JNI on top of
CSDK.

We plan to make a wiki document about our changes as soon as we can.

Meanwhile, if we find any common ground in windows-port branch, will definitely
review it.

Thanks,

Zuberul.

Title : RE: [dev] Request for ios-port branch

Hi iOS platform team!
We are currently working on enabling the Windows OS platform on the
'windows-port' branch.
We have done extensive work to improve the portability in these areas: SCons
flows, ip adapter, threading & synchronization, coap, tinydtls, and user facing
shared libraries. Also, auto conf has been deeply integrated.
Have you had a chance to take a look yet? We are hoping that you will find lots
of useful changes. If there is something in our patches that could be useful,
please review it, and we can start to expedite the submission process. We look
forward to collaborating.
Respectfully,
Daniel Ferguson
