I think there's a large range of flash sizes for ESP8266 chips.
My ESP8266 board (the wemos D1 mini) has 4MB of flash.

Hello Khaled and Khaled

At less than 1 MB of flash, I would say you're best served by the IoTivity 
Constrained codebase. The port should be much smaller, which means it would be 
easier to accept your contributions and later maintain them.
