JK,

discovering devices, do you mean /oic/prs?

I am testing this on 1.2.1, seems like group devices (you are a member of that
group) presence is not included.

It seems out of place where user could not discovery devices which they have
permission to interact with.

Hello Amit,

Current implementation of group on cloud returns shared devices through group
information.

You can do that using shipped group sample application under cloud examples.

We are not sure that discovering devices also oic/res not using group protocol.

Best Regards

JK

Title : [dev] Mutli user scenario in iotivity Cloud - Group

Dear all ,

We have a use-case which demands that 2 different users [signed in
with different accounts ] but member of same group should be able to access a
published resource in the Group.

Details:

We have a scenario of 3 devices as mentioned below.

Device

Sign in Account at Cloud

Group at Cloud

 Remark

Mobile phone A

A

G-A

Mobile phone B

B

G-B and G-A

Joined G-A by an invitation received from user A

Fridge

A

G-A

As we have seen the current cloud implementation : By default for Resource
Discovery request (/oic/res/?rt=x.org.iotivity.fridge) Cloud interface(C-I)
will only searches in default group of senders account , it will never search
in other groups joined by the sender of GET request

For example for above list of device if Mobile phone B sends GET request for
Fridge (GET (/oic/res/?rt=x.org.iotivity.fridge) to cloud interface it will
only search it in G-B (as its default group of B ) C-I will not search G-A . so
Fridge(being member of G-A) is never discoverable for Mobile phone B.

Please guide us how Mobile B can discover Fridge Resource of Group-A after
joining it.

Regards

Amit
