App devs need the docs for the API, but those working on Iotivity itself should be able to see what's what by looking at the code. I never look at the docs (or read the doxygen comments, since they are badly unreliable), and the code almost never tells me what is public and what isn't. Mainly because it's mostly monolithic kitchen-sink stuff (looking at you, ocstack.c, among others). Refactoring could improve this. And it ain't that hard. G
