Thanks Margaret for pointing out to me that the question wasn’t “why hasn’t IoTivity 2.0 been announced?” but “why hasn’t OCF 2.0 been announced on IoTivity Dev?” My apologies for misreading.
The OCF 2.0 announcement to IoTivity Dev will be rolled into the release of the supporting implementation (IoTivity 2.0) which is still not finished. When IoTivity 2.0 is released, it will include pointers to the Specification versions it implements. I'm not sure how my prior emails were missed in this conversation; maybe search your inbox and see if they show up? July 13th - "IoTivity 2.0.0-RC1 (aka 1.4.0-RC3) tagged" (this email explains the versioning change) June 18th - "IoTivity 1.4.0-RC2 tagged" IoTivity 2.0 has not yet been released because we are still finding new issues in testing. Although we continue to close them very quickly, the nature of the tests is that some issues are hidden until the prior issues are resolved. I think you could argue that it has enough impact on iotivity that it's worth someone posting on an iotivity list too but I'm not sure there's anyone for whom that is part of their job... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
