I’m trying to check if QoS prioritization is working with both Cisco/Ruckus
wireless Access Points, by using iPerf.
Access Point is providing 70mbps bandwidth, and I want to generate 2 traffics
(one for Voice, one for data) on iPerf, client PC are on 2 different SSID from
the test AP. Each Traffic should generate 70mbps load on AP, in result, I would
like to see that Voice traffic is getting all or most of the bandwidth around
70mbps according to QoS setting on AP, and data traffic gets rest bandwidth,
may be around 1 or 2 mbps. To create this test condition, what is right command
on iPerf? Could you help me? My tried commands are as follow.
Tried Case-1:
1. Data Traffic
Server Port 5201,
-c 192.168.1.10 –p 5201 –t 1800
2. Voice Traffic
Server Port 5201,
-c 192.168.1.12 –p 5201 –t 1800 –S 46
Result : both traffic is getting 35mbps
Tried Case-2:
1. Data Traffic
Server Port 5201,
-c 192.168.1.10 –p 5201 –t 1800
2. Voice Traffic
Server Port 5201,
-c 192.168.1.12 –p 5201 –t 1800 –S 0xB8
Result : both traffic is getting 35mbps
Tried Case-3:
1. Data Traffic
Server Port 5201,
-c 192.168.1.10 –p 5201 –t 1800
2. Voice Traffic
Server Port 5201,
-c 192.168.1.12 –u –p 5201 –t 1800 –S 46
Tried Case-4:
1. Data Traffic
Server Port 5201,
-c 192.168.1.10 –p 5201 –t 1800
2. Voice Traffic
Server Port 5201,
-c 192.168.1.12 –u –p 5201 –t 1800 –S 0xB8
Result : both traffic is getting 35mbps
