Can someone please tell me what policy rules to put
in place to allow routing commands to flow freely?
I pass from any to any all RIP messages - but now I'm seeing that I'm blocking an ICMP router advertise packet from my firewall to 244.0.0.1. Something tells me I shouldn't be blocking this.
I have rules to allow ICMP packets to support ping and traceroute only. All other ICMP packets are blocked.
What other ICMP packets should be allowed to pass through so as not to interfere with router traffic?
