Hello folks, Okay, I've gone through the FAQ and the mailing list archives, and haven't been able to find any solution to my current problem, so I'm hoping someone might be able to help. I recently built and installed pfil 2.1.2 and IP Filter 4.1.3 on my two Sun machines, running Solaris 8 and 9 respectively. The builds seemed to go fine, but during the reboots the following errors came up in both systems:
[Solaris 8] Sep 30 09:43:02 minddrive krtld: [ID 995402 kern.notice] /usr/kernel/drv/sparcv9/ipf: undefined symbol 'memset' Sep 30 09:43:02 minddrive krtld: [ID 472681 kern.notice] WARNING: mod_load: cannot load module 'ipf' [Solaris 9] Sep 30 09:43:37 delirium krtld: [ID 819705 kern.notice] /usr/kernel/drv/sparcv9/ipf: undefined symbol Sep 30 09:43:37 delirium krtld: [ID 826211 kern.notice] 'memset' Sep 30 09:43:37 delirium krtld: [ID 472681 kern.notice] WARNING: mod_load: cannot load module 'ipf' A search on Google (both web and groups) seemed to turn up nothing either, and while I saw one message in the archives for someone with a similar problem, there seemed to have been no resolution, so I'm stumped. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Here's some relevant information for each of the systems. [Solaris 8] uname -a: SunOS minddrive 5.8 Generic_117350-04 sun4u sparc isainfo -vk: 64-bit sparcv9 kernel modules gcc 3.3.3, 64-bit capability enabled [Solaris 9] uname -a: SunOS delirium 5.9 Generic_112233-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-1000 Solaris isainfo -vk: 64-bit sparcv9 kernel modules gcc 3.4.0, 64-bit capability enabled I'm uncertain what further information would be needed at this point, so please let me know if there's any need for clarification. Thanks... Ken Lareau [EMAIL PROTECTED]
