Hi,
I have a pair of matched V210's (sparc). One is running Solaris 9 with ipf 3.4.31. The other is running Solaris 10 with ipf 4.1.8 and pfil 2.1.6. Both run webmail (horde/imp and imapproxyd), using round-robin DNS. The Solaris 9 box did the production work for two months while the Sol10 box was a test box/sat idle for those two months. One reason it didn't do much was I wanted to see if it would fall over with 4.1.7 and 4.1.8 installed. No way, rock solid.
The Sol10 box went into production yesterday. Zero problems so far. I'm going to be running the two side-by-side for a while to see how S10 performs against S9 (and to learn more about dtrace).
I would say go for it.

I'm setting up a new Webhost, which will be using ipfilter to help secure.
My question is, in your experinces, which is more stable? Sol 9 or 10. I've been seeing a LOT of ipf issues on sol10, are they mostly wrinkled out?
What's your gut feeling? Wait awhile, go for it?
