We all know that if a frame is received in a layer 2 switch that has an MAC address that is not present in it's arp table, the switch will flood the packet out all switch ports. If I have a host connected to that switch running IP Filter, should IP Filter see that packet? Even if it is addressed to a different machine on a different subnet?
