I'm not using ipf 3.x in my environment as I was trying to use some of
the features of 4.1 such as IP Pools, etc which aren't working properly
and I picked the latest version as I thought it was the stable version.

Compling with gcc


[EMAIL PROTECTED] gcc -v

/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/3.3.2/specs
Configured with: ../configure --with-as=/usr/ccs/bin/as
--with-ld=/usr/ccs/bin/ld --disable-nls

Out of curiosity - do you see this with ipf 3.x? Also, you may have
posted this earlier - but what compiler did you use?
