I am currently trying to install IPF 3.4.31 on a
Trusted Solaris 8 machine. Unfortunately I am unable to change the version of
Trusted Solaris I am using. I install the packages using pkgadd as the admin
role at ADMIN_LOW and I get the following message which concerns me. add_allocatable
: required privileges not asserted file_downgrade_sl When I reboot the machine IPF appears to come up
fine. However if I try to run “ipfstat –o” I get an error
unable to access /dev/kmem. Does any one know how to properly install IPF on
TSOL 8? Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or why these errors might be
appearing? Does any one have any tips on how to diagnose the problem? Thanks for any help you can provide. James Gallogly Raytheon Virtual Technology Corporation VTC: (321) 281-4093 Cell: (703) 869-2209 |
