OK, forget what I said. I discovered I had made a mistake when installing
IPFilter. I had forgotten that the patch at the end of BSD/kupgrade doesn't
apply automatically to /usr/src/sys/modules/ipfilter/Makefile and the changes
need to be made manually. After I did that and rebuilt the kernel, everything
is fine again.
