I have more data:
- Some servers run fine, and there I have the original IPFilter that comes with
Solaris 10
- The ones that fail, are those that I upgraded to IPFilter 4.1.9 or 4.1.10 by
rebuilding from sources (something was not correctly working on AMD
installations, so I had to upgrade).
What I don't understand, is why this problem comes up only if I connect through
Vista, and only on some ports.
Please help :(
Gabriele.

Oggetto:
Windows Vista and ipfilter servers
Hello,
I'm having trouble with some customers where I deployed ipfilter for years.
I changed laptop, and I have both Vista and XP on it.
When running XP, I have no trouble connecting on any open port of those
machines (22, 25, 80).
When running Vista, some ports do not respond correctly: 25 ok, 22 and 80 hang.
I traced the connection from the public side of the remote machine (Solaris
10), while connecting from my Vista through Firefox on port 80.
I see the incoming connection on the server, I can see the GET coming from my
Vista, I can see the response going out of the public card, and then nothing....
Do you have any clue?
Gabriele.
