>From what I understand of the whole issue, part of Darren's employment at Sun >is to collaborate on creating public APIs for IPF, which is being done in stages. After the API finalized, there should be no need for a recompile every time the kernel is patched or changes, because IPF won't be using private structs any more. I see no reason why the open source version of IPF couldn't talk to that same API? _________________________________________________________________ With Windows Live Hotmail, you can personalize your inbox with your favorite color. www.windowslive-hotmail.com/learnmore/personalize.html?locale=en-us&ocid=TXT_TAGLM_HMWL_reten_addcolor_0607
