Hello folks, I am compiling and installing the current IP Filter 4.1.24 on SGI Irix 6.5.
I am working in parallel on two machines, SGI Indy (ip22/r4400sc, 6.5.14) and SGI Octane2 (ip30/r12k, 6.5.30). I had some share of compile-time problems to fix, but in general, the compile went well and the module was installed into the kernel. (Actually, the compile went well on an Indy, on Octane I got a 32-vs-64 bit problem at linker stage. I think it can be fixed easily with command line switches, but I focused on an Indy for the moment). At boot time, ipfilter causes segmentation violation, but nothing more can be said without a serial console to debug. Did some of you get it working? Would someone (Darren?) be interested in getting the Irix port working again, if me or my contacts would provide access to Irix systems? Thanks, -doc
